I'm killing off album downloads. I've tested album downloads vs. song downloads and the single mp3s get downloaded a lot more. I'm guessing most normal people (non-musicians) have no idea what a zip file is, lol. They only want free mp3s.

This will free me up creatively to record whatever i want and then just upload it for download without having to put songs together in some sort of collection.

Browser glitches...

If you have Hotlink Protection on mp3s make sure you have the "Allow direct requests" box checked in cPanel otherwise IE will change the periods to underscores and people won't be able to right click and save, lol.

Most browsers (ie/firefox/chrome) will stream an mp3 if you left click on them but Google Chrome won't if the genre of the mp3 isn't filled out.

LOUDNESS WAR...

I've tested LW volume levels and it's easy enough to get to sound wise but having kick drums that sound like i'm microwaving popcorn isn't for me. I'll stay -3db lower in perceived loudness and keep the heaviness.

Also... for the people that still use the audio editor Cool Edit Pro there is a plugin wrapper called "VST-DX Wrapper" that lets you use VST plugin effects in CEP. I've only tried the "lite" version and it works good enough.

These are the years i taught myself HTML and SEO.

Recorded some songs (not a lot).

2004 / 2005

Started recording a lot of music late at night and teaching myself sound design.

DJing and messing around with drum machines.

I made some songs on a Tascam 4-track Cassette PortaStudio and mixed them down to a Sony MiniDisc recorder, lol. Erased/trashed all of them.

Started using computers in like 1999 (i think).
Saved short songs on diskettes. All of those songs are lost/deleted/trash.
